Sizing PV systems for self-consumption projects
Self-consumption projects for commercial and private wire projects are becoming more common in the UK.
In order to size correctly these projects, it is of vital importance to assess correctly one new variable that did not exist previously in subsidised ground mount projects: the load profile.
Ideally half hourly data during one year would be needed in order to determine the peak PV power that gives the maximum savings along with the best quota of energy self-consumed.
If half hourly data is not available or incomplete some assumptions would have to be done in order to estimate the load profile.
Push has extensive experience in sizing self-consumption projects and we would be able to help in advising the best PV solution for your business.
